fckeditor installation issue

fckeditor is a wonder WYSIWYG editor, the only frustrating issue is the installation. From the forum we can see many users have experienced difficulties in installation - the editor does not show up for unknown reasons even if you strictly follow the installation instructions. This is not user friendly. Please look into it. thanks.
