I think #Drupal-Support and #Drupal should be one room in Freenode.

I have tried to respect both channels policy and post general help questions only in -support , but after lots of waiting there i observed that no questions were answered. So i started to post to #drupal , where i got 90% of my questions answered! And that's great for free support.

I think that separate channels creates a 'distinction' . Experienced Drupal Users , who can respond quickly and accurately to simple questions , stay in the main room #drupal and dont login to -support . And that makes sense. They dont want to answer questions all the time . But they want to answer here-and-there. So if just one who knows is 'available' for an hour lets say , then we can say that most of the questions will be covered 24/24!

post your AGREE/DISAGREE (N/T no-text) answers please..

thanks

Please see this handbook page on what the rooms are used for. People cannot be forced to help you or anyone else unless they are paid to.

I have talked with people on #drupal and they 've explained me what the rooms are used for.
And thats what i suggest. Changing their use.
#Drupal : codewise,drupal general questions,everything.
a new channel #drupal-xxx used for Project information and general other stuff

of course I'm not complaining about support or force anyone to help me. You missed my point i guess. (my english doesnt help) .Guys help me anyway. I just have to re-post my questions to both rooms.

Forum posts need statuses... :P

This issue has been brought up by newcommers since I was one and probably even longer. It's a dead horse. Let's let the poor thing RIP.

While I help (a lot) in #drupal in hope that it will be a contribution, helping in #drupal-support extremely rarely adds anything to the community. I admire those who have the patience to do it.

Also, while the forums are searchable, even though the support is logged to more than place, given the extreme poor signal/noise ratio of such a channel it's very tough to search and get anything meaningful back. Esp. because when people finally figure it out they leave instead of saying "for the archives: solution was X".

I spend my fair share of time in both #drupal and -support. I have no problem finding the help I need in -support, because I am willing to help others when I am able.

If you're going to ask for help, you must be willing to give a little.

i agree forums are a better place to get help....

please , improve the search function and the categorization and support will be pretty much covered

(#drupal-support could just not exist at all so that everyone could focus here)

Try using the advanced search options if regular search doesn't help
