seriously. there are so many people on here all day and night that i am floored. i can answer new questions at 3am or 1pm, get my own questions commented on day or night...it's vibrant, people are helpful...

..and drupal is also a community unto itself. with that in mind, i'd like to have some kind of totally off topic forum (not a group in 'drupal groups' but a forum right here, way down the bottom)...

it would be useful to discuss, for example, how lame the lost episodes are, how many tricks rodney mullen invented, if too much gain makes anything sound like rock, the age at which malt liquor becomes un-cool and so on..

anybody agree?

I love this idea. It would give me a platform to discuss Plan Nine From Outter Space trivia.

Personally, I disagree with this idea. I think that Drupal is great for being Drupal. It is nice to have one place to come to find the most up to date information. (well almost one place -- hints at www.drupalmodules.com)

There are hundreds of forums which would facilitate this type of off-topic discussion. I think that drupal.org should be kept to drupal related issues only.

Just my thoughts.
