Issue Summary
I have recently installed the apc library and configured drupal to use it thru the inc file that you provided, and i have to say that the performance boost that i got was extraordinary, moreover it has reduced the connections to the mysql server, and that's another huge bonus, as i wasn't able to optimize the server enough to stop it from bugging and going down everyday.
+1 to this module.
p.s.: sorry i didn't do any benchmarking as i don't know how to.
