Great to see this project emerge!
Could you include the javascript based charts http://drupal.org/project/timeline and http://simile.mit.edu/timeplot/ in this project?

brmassa commentedalldirt,
its seems to be a good chart plugin, however, i dont have much time to support so many plugins. Its
But lets do this: if you provide a good patch, i might let you commit it and you would be the responsible of this plugin. (also, you can create a new project just for it if you like)
best regards,
massa

alldirt commentedOk, I'll mark the issue closed for now. I'm using D5 and I probably will be for a while.

mabhobs commentedI am very interested in the simile timeplot module. Is there any chance that this will be added? I would volunteer to do some testing. I am not such a good programmer, but would also try to contribute programming if necessary. Is anybody else interested?

mitchell commentedCould timeplot be included as widget for timeline?

xamanu commentedThe issue of integrating other nice simile stuff to this module is discussed in this case as well: #352471: Timemap
I totally agree with jeff (comment #7). And I also think that these integrations could be nice. But the timeline module, like it is in this moment, serves a specific case: The integration for a timeline into Drupal. So that people can use it easily.
The existing Exhibit Module is a more general approach to this.
So when I'm thinking about a timeplot integration, I want to think about the timemap integration as well and I'd see a need for a more generic module and this would fit better to the exhibit module.
I don't know whether this is the right place to leave this issue (open), but I will just tag it to HEAD and leave it active.
If anybody would really like to work on that please contact me to coordinate how this could be happen. Right now I'm not going to implement this into the timeline module.
