Great module David!
Now if it only had a flexible, repeating date feature... yearly, monthly, weekly, specific day... Similar to what WebCalendar uses.
Also the ability to skip a time period between start and end dates, i.e. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday.
One use for a repeating event module is as a reminder calendar. Many service business need the ability for customers to be reminded of reoccurring maintenance, repair, etc, dates. School or training schedules would be similar uses. I'm sure many other uses could be found for this functionality. Yes I am aware of the Event and EventRepeat modules but just too many bugs and limitations.

If I'm right in reading your post, you want to be able to carry over the roles and/or timeslots to another, repeated, event? If so, I second this as that's what I'm looking for. Currently attempting to create a patch that allows you to define default roles, but having some trouble.
