I've hunted around and can't find a module to do the simple task of batch reassigning node authorship to a different user. The content
screen at admin/content/node would simply have an option "Change author to:" and the new authors name.

If not, I'll get one put together myself but surely this has been done?!!

I agree. This should be a simple operation. I'd be willing to help sponsor development of such a module if it would help get it out the door.

There is already a solution!

Views bulk operations supports this as one of the actions!

for some reason I can't seem to get the change author to appear as one of the operation options ... even if i create it as an action ... hrmmm
