Hello all,

I'll bet this is a really easy question to answer, so I apologize - but I really don't know what to do next. I uploaded and activated the advertisement module to my Drupal 5.x site, then tried to upload an image to display as an image ad. Every time I click "active" then "submit" to activate the ad, "no active ads found" is what comes up in the block - and I go back to "edit" to find that it's still classified as "pending."

I'm baffled. Can someone help me with how to upload and effectively activate an ad? I feel like I'm missing something really obvious.

You should try the file upload instead to the image upload ...

Thank you Selda,

do you mean the file attachment? I have been uploading the image files as file attachments - and nothing shows up in the block that is activated for the ad...

yes, I thought you used image attachment ..

when you save the ad, do you see image is uplaoad correctly ..

why do not you send the screen copy of this ad after you save it .. It may give me some hints to understand what is going wrong ..

when I save the ad, I don't see anything uploaded at all. It says this:

Image validation failed, unable to mark ad as active. Setting ad as pending. If you do not see any more errors, you should now be able to set your ad as active.

I've tried this about 10 times. What I do next is set the ad as active - and while there are no more errors, no image shows up either, at least not in the block I've designated. In the place of that block, I always see "No active ads found." However, I know the image is uploading, because if I promote it to front page, the image shows up on the front page. I try it with a different image every time, and there's no size limit that I've set for the images - they're just not going to that block.

Very frustrating!

Hi,

I'm also having the same issue and I can send the image ad code if you can look at it. I'm actually pasting destination url and attaching image add file as .txt file. But still i can not see the ad posted.
