Doesn't seem to want to work. I get no reference numbers, and whilst links appear to work no names appear associated with them.

Yep, this is really broken in 2.x-dev. As are most of the other submodules. This is due to the new preprocess hook in DruTeX.

Aaah... so I wasn't going mad then!
Any idea when it might start working again?
Are the submodules on the list of things to be mended?

It works on the 1.x branch.
I took over maintainership of DruTeX a while ago, and haven't really got into making large changes yet. To be honest, it's quite complicated and things have been implemented in an 'odd' way. Submodules, for example, are a pain, as are variable defaults. I'm thinking about a possible complete re-write.
I have had need for a general purpose LaTeX renderer in the past (and the future) and so I'm thinking that maybe DruTeX should provide a LaTeX rendering service, and that input format stuff becomes an add on.

On that basis, should we(users) ignore 2.x?
Are you going to continue to develop that, or are you going in a different direction?

I'd like to get some feedback...starting another issue.
