Hi Folks,

I would like to enable users to search within custom fields that are defined in user profiles.

I've tried the "find user" module but I can not define the extra fields to search in.

Here is an example of what I would like to enable:

I have defined fields where users can specify what kind of boat they own, f.i. cabin cruiser and the brand name.
I would like to enable other users to search trough the user profiles for cabin cruiser, if recuired refined by other fields like brand name.

How can this be achieved?

Hi,

Have you tried to use views and add a filter that the users can put on theirselves?

For the first time I can actually see the custom fields apear in a list that can be selected!

But is seems a long way round, I was getting used to drupal solutions working straight out of the box ;-)

I'll keep working on it.
