Ok, let me preface this by saying I my asperations here may be greatly exceeding my ability, but I figured it couldn't hurt to ask and get some input on the possibility of achieving the following either through a custom module or through existing modules.
I am working on building a weight loss surgery support site http://www.seriousweightloss.net
Within my site I have implemented a "Find a Surgeon" page that basically once completed will amount to a flask map that brings up a table listing surgeons from that state. Clicking on their listing will go to their profile page the same as any other member profile on any given Drupal social network.
Here is where it gets tricky. I found a site that has surgeon profiles similar to what I would like to accomplish. If you look at how their Surgeon Profile is set up:
http://www.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/bariatric+surgeon+profile+Dirk+...
we see a number of things:
1. There are 'tabs' under the primary profile. I have been able to muttle through building a profile, but have found no way to add tabs to 'areas' of a profile. Is there a mod that would allow tabbed 'sections' of a profile to appear below user info and pic?
2. Imediately under the primary profile on the first tab (the one open by default) we see the heading "General Information" and a item here titled "Surgery Types Performed". Directly to the right of this is the various types this surgeon does. Clicking any of those links (i.e. the "RNY (Lap)" link) brings up a table comprised of any member that has indicated that he performed their (for example) RNY surgery Laparoscopically. It also imports related info from their profiles such as location and insurer. Is this possible to attain in Drupal? Are there existing mods that will do that?
3. Lastly, there is a tab for "Patient Reviews". Could the Drupal guestbook mod be customised to replicate the functionality shown here? It appears very similar to a guest book. Logged in members on that site automatically have a block in their profile page that links to a write a review of your surgeon. This block does not reference the surgeon that was indicated on the registration form, instead it opens a generic comment page that allows you to select the surgeon from a drop down menu and then routes the comment to the appropriate guestbook (though I am not sure exactly how).
Now, as I said earlier, I am basically looking to develop a realistic outlook as to if this can be achieved in Drupal. It is my site that I will be putting up to give back to all the folks who are trying to overcome the obesity epidemic here in the US. If you look over the site, you will see that it does not contain advertisments, nor will it, as (if you look at the site that hosts the profile I am trying to emulate) most of the weight loss sites I have found contain nothing but 'gimic' advertisements that are in my opinion counterproductive to weight loss support. To make a long and idealistic story short, no advertising and very little money of my own to pay a development company, which is why I am here looking for ideas on how I can accomplish this myself, possibly with a little guidance.
Thanks in advance!
