Support Bruce Perens for OSI Executive Board
jscoble - March 19, 2008 - 16:55
Bruce Perens is trying to get elected to the OSI Executive Board. The board is self-electing so he needs to have demonstrable community support to have a chance.
Bruce Perens created the Open Source Definition, released the first open source program, and created the rule-set that is used by OSI. He wants to 'help solve the over-representation of vendors' and work on reducing 'the number of different licenses in general use.'[techp.org/p/7]
The Open Source Initiative, OSI, is the organization that certifies Open Source software licenses.
