Quick question, if I have a G2 gallery working under www.domain.com/gallery2 , and I install drupal+gallery module under the root, does the gallery module modifies any of the standalone G2 files?

Does it continue working as usual?

No it does not modify any of the G2 files. You can run both a standalone and embedded. I wouldn't recommend it for sites that have lots of users but my site only has 1 registered user and that's me.
