Ive been building a site that utilizes a lot of modules and I noticed that page loading times have been getting longer. I know that if i disable some modules it will probably get faster but before I resort to that Id just like to know what it is that does slows the site down so I can attempt to optimize it a bit.

Note that with only 40-something modules, a Drupal site can handle a million page views a day on a single server.
