How actively is checkout being maintained [#236787]

Hello,

Not trying to pester here -- we're just looking at this module, and trying to assess the viability of using this as a base.

The last commit here is early December, and there is a patch at http://drupal.org/node/206479 (from a while back) and at http://drupal.org/node/235865 (this patch is relatively new -- just a couple days old) -- the first patch fixes some broken functionality, and both patches add in some new functionality

Additionally, we're thinking about extending checkout to allow the admin to specify which node types can be checked out, as on most sites you don't need to allow all node types to be checked out for editing --

This module is maintained, however, it needs more testers. Especially the new 2.x branch, which I've created on last weekend, mainly because of your post. It is a complete overhaul of the module based on my patch in the mentioned issue #206479: checkout_checkout shouldn't be called during prepare. I felt the branching was necessary because said patch changed too much and made it hard for others to follow. Hopefully this separation helps to get a new stable release out somewhere in the near future, especially if you decide to jump on the wagon and help out with some real-life testing.

We are (planning on) using this module pretty extensively, and have been testing it --

I'll be checking out the 2.x release over the next few days -- I've been working with jgraham who commented on #206479 -- if you are interested in co-maintainers, we'd be glad to help out --
