Description

Hi,

I would like my home page and nodes to use "INDEX, FOLLOW". On all other pages, I would like to use "NOINDEX, FOLLOW". For example, on my site I do not want http://www.silverjaguar.com/?page=1 through http://www.silverjaguar.com/?page=33 to be indexed. Since all of those pages have the same title, search engines mark my site down a bit.

It would be cool to have features similar to the Page Specific Visibility Settings for blocks.

For the home page (aka, front page) that is not a problem, as there is already a setting specific for the front page.
For the nodes, if they have some a specific path, you can use the other module that changes the meta tags basing on the path of the page.

As there is already a module that allows to set meta tags basing on the path of the page, I am setting this report as won't fix.

Have you looked at meta tags by path?

If that is the case, then this report must be re-open.

Hi Kiam, I think you are referring to the merger of both: http://drupal.org/node/478686
Just to make clear why you set this to active again, right?
Greetings, Martijn

Uhmmm... I read a report, and replied to a different one.

Actually I was thinking to make this report more generic. I think the settings page for the global meta tags can be more generic, and allow the creation of different rules for different pages.

This would also avoid to have a different page for the front page meta tags; checking if the page is the front page would be one of the conditions to check.

I am changing the referring version to the one that will implement this feature, which cannot be rc1 for the way new code is committed in CVS repository.

+1

I like this. This definitely can be combined with Meta tags by Path feature, which becomes merely another type of rule.

I set #216686: Panels support in nodewords as duplicate of this report; the support for Panels will be replaced from a generic support for page URLs.
