Description

hi. i am about to install this module, really need the functionality BUT i noticed that there are still 23ish active bug reports for the d6 release at various levels, and not sure exactly how many are fixed in the currently downloadable version.

are there any folks here using the most current release from module project page (march 10th i believe) on d6.1 who have had relatively minor issues, or would you consider this still far too developmental to use in an even close to production site?

this seems so critical, like an event node type should be a core feature of drupal (honestly, for a cms i'd put event/calendar ahead of blog any day) - just my opinion...

I am using 6.x-2.x-dev (2008-Feb-11) with some hacks in order to have a more or less usable version.
The (2008-Mär-11) was so buggy that I had to go back to the feb-11 snapshot.
I am still hoping to see in the next weeks a production 6.x event module.
My opinion is the same, event nodes must be a core feature of drupal

thanks. good advice. i may roll to feb11th, though i thought that march11th has some fixes - though i notice that two addons are not functional in modules page (showing x's) - repeat event and the other one...

and yes, doesn't events seem like it should be a default core node type alongside blog, story, forum?

If you use the Dev version, event repeat doesn't work and if you revert back to a stable release after that you get the dreaded 12/31/1969 perma date when entering events so if you need repeating event functionality, go with one of the regular (old) releases.

hmm, sounds like it's too far away from production-site readiness to mess around wiht right now...also noticed that date (cck) for d6 is in alpha (with date api), could be an interesting 'other way' if views is ready and calendar for views and all of that - though that seems like so much extra stuff for a straight forward event utility (i do understand why people need, i just personally don't need the cck field set up like that for other content types or other views)

The module is working but still has bugs. I intend to release a beta soonish.
