Issue Summary

ability to email a user when their membership lapses...also send a copy to the membership director so they can follow up if they choose.

Maybe email a membership form or a link back to the site on how to re-new their membership.

i jumped the gun on that request...I see emails are sent to users for membership approvals, changes, expiries and cancellations. I can't find where those notification text is set...or do you have to go into the .module itself to adjust?

#2

Actually you have to modify the .module itself to change the texts of the emails - but it is a good idea if it would be configured through the administration interface.

1. Please, how would I disable the email notifications? Have just imported 4000+ members and don't want them to be notified as they are existing users.

2. I only seem to be able to select 1 membership as a managed role, is that correct? Actually have a couple of memberships/roles that have expiration time frames. Am I missing something?

Thank you for this fabulous module! and look forward to any reply.

Thanx, figured out the email.. just removed send email to users in the .module or deselect the Power Manager.

Yet still have the problem that can only select 1 membership role and have several more ...? Does it affect the role or membership in any way on expiration or does it basically just block the user?

Look forward to any reply.

Have a great day.

1. Disabling email notifications have nothing to do with changing their text - anyway, it is a good idea, I have added it to the "Ideas to be implemented" section of the README.

2. Yes, the membership module can handle only one role's membership at the moment. I have been thinking about expanding it to support more role's membership, but I don't have the time to implement it nowadays.

3. Deselecting the Power Manager disables only his/her part of the email notifications, not the users' part.

4. When a user's membership expires, he/she is removed from the given role - nothing happens about his/her other roles and he/she won't be "blocked".

5. Please open a new issue for each task/functionality to be implemented.

Closing the issue as it's already solved partially, and nowadays it seems to be a bit dull to go with D5. Should you still need functionality like this, go check Role Expire module.
