Description

It would be nice to have an easy way of choosing to have tng open in an Iframe or on it's own.
Even better would be the ability to have tng open inside of drupal without an Iframe like the postnuke module is able to do.

As long as you install TNG in a folder called something other than "tng" you can have users log on through Drupal and then access TNG through the url that includes that folder name outside of the IFrame created by Drupal.

I suppose this is a pretty simple option to add... have Drupal open up a new window rather than an IFrame.

However, as far as having TNG come up inside Drupal without an Iframe, I cannot visualize how that is done in Postnuke and cannot do so since I do not have a postnuke installation anywhere to see it, so unless you can explain how it is done, it is not a helpful reference.

you can see it in action at this site http://www.voigtworld.com/TNG-whatsnew.html
There is also a forum where you can contact the author of the script.

BTW, I will try to get the new version set up this weekend to test.

Thank you for the link but there is no way to tell how the integration is done from the page output...

Given the complexity of the issue, unless you (or someone else who is interested in implementing this feature) is willing to do the legwork to figure out the basic architecture of how it functions, I don't think it is going to happen.

Please explain the issues, as I would like a result like the voightworld.
It is bothersome to the user to see two frames on the page, one from drupal and the other from TNG.

Why cannot a module display the same as a story or as a page?
Does Drupal have a setting to control that?

By the way, Arturo, thank you for the integration module.

Alonzo:

It is not as easy as simply taking a feed from TNG and feeding it into a theme_page api in Drupal. Because there is seperate authentication in TNG, EITHER TNG's authentication has to be overriden with Drupal's or Drupal has to authenticate users in TNG using an automated logon function. In that case, there are still two seperate authentications running so the module simply logs someone onto TNG automatically and then displays the TNG output in a frame.

I know that TNG has the ability to have its authentication overwritten but I am not familiar with how that functions so unless someone can pitch in here, the no IFRAME option will likely not happen since I don't think I have the time to sleuth that one out.
