Drupal 6 version of this modue should depend on Views 2.0 so some features would likely be included in the core views module and others may need a complete rewrite.
Oh my goodness. Yes, I'm working on a new version for drupal 6. RL has taken a hectic turn since taking on updating this module and it hasn't been done yet.
Many of VBP's features are implemented in Views 2 now so I assume you guys are waiting on panels layouts and support. I will try to work on fast tracking something for this and the csv exporter mentioned for testing.
Just to push this in my own direction- I, for one, am waiting on the views export portion of this thingie. I have clients breathing fire over not being able to export the results of a rather clever system I designed in V6.
Got the -dev release fixed for those of you that want to test. We don't need to follow up with test results here though, please file issues as needed against the 6.x-1.x-dev release please.
Could you possibly provide a pointer about how to configure a view for export? I must be missing something obvious but I feel like I've searched and searched and not been able to find in Views 2 how to do this. Thanks.
The current -dev release is provided for testing. There is not support or help provided for it. That said, read the views documentation and all export handling is done as style plugins for the feed display type.
I would also be interested in just what I have to do to make the D6 dev version work. I do not see ANY indication on edit view pages that export is present: nothing at all in the arguments dropdown or anywhere else for that matter. I have the module enabled, I have access configured, still no sign of its existence.
neclimdul if you don't have time at the moment to commit code, can you please give a brief explanation of what needs to be done to get the CSV feature working?
edit: actually I don't see this XML feature in here anywhere either ?
thank you for the export functionality in d6, awesome.
my question is, how do i go about modifying how multiple valued fields are exported? currently the items are mashed together in a single excel cell. i understand that the items will need to be in a single cell, but am wondering if i can somehow add a line break or other separator in the process? i'm not sure where i need to look to hook in to add this feature.
Beta 1 released for testing of panels and export features. They are both fairly functional at this point so feel free to test and open issues for functionality you feel is missing. So everyone knows, the panels 3 col term plugin is not functional.

edit: actually I don't see this XML feature in here anywhere either ?
danielb commentedAh here's the trick: you have to create a type 'feed' not 'page' :D
Then change the 'style' plugin, and the CSV even works!
neclimdulHeh, yeah I did say use the feed display type :-D.
Webchick summed it up nicely here #334054: Basic how-to info needed.
jimmb commentedAny word on how much longer for Bonus: Grid View?
That's the one I bet a lot of people need (I know I do)....
Jim
Comment #66
neclimdul@jimmb That's an easy question. Its in Views 2 itself so it won't be making it as a bonus module in 6.
jimmb commentedSo good to know! Thanks for the heads-up :)
