Hello all, we are being using Drupal for almost two years now and have being very satisfacted whit our company web site www.bitnet.com.mx.

At this moment wee are going to encourage the competitive part of the business most thatn any time before so want to automate the process as much as can. At this moment we create events and maintain a calendar whit the Event Module but wat I really need it's a easy way to register/singup or whatever you want to call teams for the events.

The features I need are:

* When you register for the event and can choose betwen join into an existing team or create your own. If you choose create your own team you get a code that give to all the people want to join into your same team.
* A block that shows the register teams for the event whit a link to the roster

Since no one has "chimed in" I will give me two cents:

There is a module called Event Manager that will allow you to create events and allow persons to register for them. Since you are doing this for gaming then that may not work for you. The Event module may be the way to go. Creating events and allowing people to register for them. I'm not as familiar with the Event module, but I'm guessing that it will allow you to do the things that you need. Check it out!

I'm already using the event module for create the nodes for tournaments and maintain the calendar, but the big problem is how can I alow poeple register for teams and events.

I've done a lot of searching for event registration modules and haven't come across this. I use the Signup module, but it doesn't allow the team add-ons your looking for. You may need to pick up a module like that and do some customizations.
