On one site I have 2 installations of drupal 6.x the latest. I have the exact same set up for both and yet they don't look alike.
http://www.gileadfamily.suesman.net takes you to an entry page, you can view both from there, I am using the Ability Salamander 1 theme, and the advanced forum module. I want the two of them to look alike, but for some reason, world 15 looks 2d while world 17 looks 3d. Any ideas why?

They both give the same access denied page.
advforum isn't ready for 6.x so it wouldn't surprise me if you hit a bug.

Different setups
World 15 has css caching on, js caching off. World 17 has css caching off, js caching on.
World 17 won't allow me to
World 17 won't allow me to turn on css caching, don't know why, and what I am most concerned with is the fact that it is the same theme, and they look different. I haven't had any problem with advanced forum seems to work fine except for the images not showing on world 15.
It is required login on both, but if you want to go have a look around the site use
