I've got same problem today!!!
The solution (to restore the website momentarily) is to rename the cck module directory...

You can remove either the views module or CCK and it runs again. I did try to use the update.php (suggested - which I forgot about) which flagged problems in views. I think, because CCK is still developing there is just a problem with this new build with views. I just wish I had the last CCK still, that ran fine!

Well, it's probably not a good idea to have CCK yet for D6 since it's not yet officially released and is still in HEAD development stage. but here is the previous build of CCK: http://8bnation.com/cck-6.x-1.x-dev.tar (this is the March 22 release, as apposed to the March 24 release for which the original post was about). I will leave this up until the next stable-ish release of CCK is out. To install it (if you dont know already) first remove your current CCK folder from the "modules" folder and then upload this CCK folder into the "modules" folder. Then you can go into your modules section in Drupal and enable it. Hope this finds you well.

Yeah, probably not my smartest move to date (using 6). Still this old CCK version is working ok (touch wood) with views so far, so thank you very much.
