I found Google Analytics code embedded in the head from the template.php file.

I assume that this is a testing issue or possibly an unreported "feature"... though its much easier to install the Google Analytics module and manage the sites analytics features from admin.

I am not sure, but I don't think Google likes having more than one analytics account recorded per site... and I don't think the average webmaster likes someone else tracking their site (I don't).
