it is not exactly a bug, just wrong module info on:

admin/reports/updates

current: jQuery plugins 6.x-1.2

show as Update available, Recommended version as the previous version info

Recommended version: 6.x-1.1 (2008-Mar-06)

I think it just takes a while for the XML to be updated on updates.drupal.org? six hours if I recall correctly.

maybe that is the reason so its not related to the module

-thanks

Assuming this resolved itself by now.

I have the same problem as the first poster. I tried completely uninstalling jquery by disabling it and then deleting the jquery module directory but it still showed up on the installed modules list as 6.x-1.1. Probably why Drupal isn't detecting the new version, because the system still sees the old version somewhere before it even gets to the modules directories.

how long did you wait after installation for the XML to update ?

Actually it still says that I'm on Jquery 6.x-1.1 but I have the newest version installed, so about a week or so. I am just ignoring it until the next release and hopefully it'll resolve itself.

That's odd. Are you sure you don't have an old copy of the module somewhere in your directory tree?

I thought that I might have accidentally put it in a different directory, but I did a search of the whole Drupal installation and only that one jquery_plugin folder showed up. I even tried deleting that directory, then running update.php as well as clearing the site cache, but the module still showed up as installed even though it wasn't. All my other modules are updating fine right now. *shrugs*

EDIT: Nevermind, advanced forum for some reason copied a couple folders into its own theme directory. Fixed.
