After installing the module, enabling it and clicking “Save Configuration,” I got an “Oh S**T” screen with only this:

Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required 'modules/geouser/geouser.inc' (include_path='.:/usr/local/php5/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/.jammie/my.web.site/sites/all/modules/geouser/geouser.module on line 10

I deleted the module via FTP, refreshed the browser and thankfully got the site back ...

Same experience for me, but I modified the path to be the full path to the included module. Reloaded the page and hit on the second problem:

PHP Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required 'GeoIP.php' (include_path='.:/usr/share/pear:/usr/share/php') in /usr/share/drupal-6/sites/all/modules/geouser/geouser.module on line 56

Didn't see anything about the GeoIP.php file in the prerequisites.
