I want to make a block for my shop which has the name of the product, an image below, and a "read more" link. Is this possible?

Tick the block option
choose how many product nodes you want displayed
the node title becomes the readmore link, alternativley, give the views a page view and tick the [more]link option, this makes a link to the page view of the views.

in fileds add an image field and go for thumbnail display.
Save it, and enable the block

I think it should work.

How do I get the image? There isn't any option for thumbnail...do I need to install some more modules?

oh yeah! sorry!
you might wanna try out the image module! :) http://drupal.org/project/image
it has an attach images feature that works real good: each image you attach has a weight option, meening you can order them into your node. I believe the first attached one can be used as thumbnail in the block view.
