It's fine in IE7, but when you use the Node Images polaroid slideshow, after clicking on Next, Prev or one of the other thumbnails the photo left-aligns instead of centering. =(

I WAS PREMATURE - PATCHES REMOVED!

Ok, I've fixed this. There are two patches attached. The Firefox one makes the animation nice and smooth in Firefox, but it still doesn't work in Safari 3 on a PC (haven't tested on a Mac).

The Safari one fixes the issue in all browsers, BUT it makes a nasty screen refresh occur in Firefox. So it depends on how much you care about Safari. If you do, use the Safari patch. If you can live with Safari users missing out, the Firefox patch is better for IE and Firefox.

Cheers! =)

I'm not sure how I thought those patches were working. They're not! I've managed to get jQuery to center the photos in Firefox and Safari, but this seems to kill the animation fade-in effect in all browsers, so it's not ideal (though perhaps better than a left-aligned fade in!)

I'm still looking at this, hoping to find a solution.

I've run out of time on this one. I'll submit the attached patch, which kills the animation completely but makes the centering work in Firefox and Safari. Couldn't work out how to make centering work AND make the animation work. I've tried for about 3 hours and I have to move on. If anyone wants to pick this up, please do!! =)
