After realizing the search icon was not showing in my site using Tapestry files downloaded from here, I tried to download the file from http://demo.roopletheme.com/tapestry/download, then the missing icon appeared.

The reason is the 'icons' folder is not present in the download file here in Drupal.

As per the tapestry project page:

However, drupal.org rules prevent us from including the Tapestry icons (which are released under Creative Commons) in this distribution.
