I am using 6.1 Drupal on Apache 2 (Win32) and PHP 5.2.

I have created a custom menu but it is in the "disabled" list. I try to move it to regions (tried all) but not moving. Do I need to click somewhere eles or need to do anything in the theme pages?

does your menu have items in it? A menu should go into any region you put it, so a standard sidebar should work without messing with the theme.
