Issue Summary
I would like the ability to assign a filter by node type. Basically a way to in core do what the filterbynodetype module does. The aforementioned module seems to be unmaintained and I need this functionality to switch to D6. Is there any chance of getting this into core for 6 or at the latest 7? If not, could someone tell me how to use the filtered html filter for forum postings and the full html for standard pages?

Hi there,
I too would love to see a feature which allows admins to set a default filter by node type. For example, I'd like to force users to use a "wiki" filter for "wiki" node types and to force them to use a "forum" filter for the "forum" node types.
There are lots of other people showing their support for such a feature in this forum thread:

This would be a very useful feature. I would like this in D6 as well.

should be in D6 also

Also it would be nice to have a separate default input format for comments.

Me too. But it sure would be nice to have a solution for this for drupal 6.x.
