Friends,
I've got a problem that's been puzzling me for a while. It would occasionally occur when I was running my site on 4.7: now I've upgraded to the latest version of 5, it seems to have gotten somewhat worse.
The difficulty is that sometimes -- not always -- blocks or pages (or even modules) containing javascript of the [script type="text/javascript"] sort will simply refuse to save: in Firefox I get the "Problem loading page..." result: "the connection with the server was reset..." etc. Remove the offending Javascript, and the page saves perfectly. (Just had this happen while trying to install the Share module: I took out the ShareThis Javascript and it'd save: but when in place, nada.)
Has anyone else seen this problem? As I said, I have some blocks and pages where Javascript works perfectly (for example, I use StatCounter Javascript pasted into all my nodes, and it works fine). I've noticed that very occasionally there can be cases in which code needs to have carriage returns removed to work correctly. But this isn't that problem. It's something else.
Any thoughts?
