I don't mind about themeable functions, i would like to know what of these modules works better.

I haven't been able to test this module yet, but reading the description, I conclude that finduser does search on user name or email address and profile plus implements a search on user profile fields.
So I think these module are complementary. But to be sure, I'll test profile plus next week and post my findings. Perhaps you do know already more?

I misinterpreted the readme (sorry, i'm italian). I've just tryed finduser module and i can see that the two modules are pretty different, profileplus is for who loves Profile module (but leaks finding for email), finduser for the lovers of usernode and bio modules.

The finduser module has actually nothing to do with the nodeprofile module, nor the bio module.
At this moment, it's completely stand alone. But interfacing the mentioned modules would be cool. So patches are appreciated.
