sorry guys i did a google and this forum search but cannot seem to find what i have done wrong :) problem=i cant post to forum, i get the following error
"Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /drupal-5.7/ on this server.
Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request."
I changed the forum folder to 777 just to check and the outcome was the same :(

So, some basic questions to diagnose/..
So your using 5.7
Obviously Forum is enabled in core modules
Are you trying to access the forum as the Admin role you first created? or as user later created.
If you are using another user, make sure your role access is enabled correctly - admin/user/access

I am trying to make a test post while logged in as admin, i have made sure "comment" and "taxonomy" are enabled, i have made a test container and a test forum, I click on make new post enter subject and then text into body, as soon as i click "submit" i get the above mentioned error which is an Apache error i think, hmmmmm i just tryed to "Submit story" and got the same error, i changed the core folder (drupal_5.7) to 777 and still got the error message .
PHP Version 5.1.6
MySQL Version 5.0.22 (client: 5.0.22)
Server API Apache 2.0 Handler
Apache2..(it wont tell me what version)
