I have a 'Smileys' module installed in my Drupal site, but it seems the module doesn't work. Even though the smiley box appears, but when the comment is posted the smileys won't show up. I wonder what's wrong with the smiley.

Have you enabled Smileys in the input formats settings for the respective filters?

Gurpartap is right on target here
goto administer -> input formats
edit the input format in use
enable the smilies filter on that input format

Have enabled the filter, but...
weirdly, the nodes and comments turned to be filled with ":)" smileys, even though there is no smileys at all at the posts. What is the problem here?
