My client wants her to blogs to appear like the one on this website

http://www.workitmom.com/blogs

I used taxonomy and set up catagories, but i dont know how to list them out like that on a "blogs page"

can any one suggest how they would do it, and what modules they would use?

At the very least you will need a combination of Views (http://drupal.org/project/views) and a few related add-on modules (http://drupal.org/project/Modules/category/89) such as Panels.
