FlashVideo module keeps insisting on uploading files to /files (for my conf it's sites/default/files), even though I specified the Video Import Directory as "video", Original Directory as "media" and Output Directory as flash, all directory exist and are writable by everybody.

From what I understand, this setting should make FlashVideo upload the original files by default to sites/default/files/video, but it keeps putting them to just sites/default/files, and happily reports so when I click the Attach button on top of the page... am I missing something here ?

I believe this is fixed in the latest version of FlashVideo. If you're still having troubles, please post to the issue queue (http://drupal.org/project/issues/flashvideo).

Everything was working fine. Video files were being uploaded to sites/default/files/video but now. I can't get it to save anywhere except the sites/default/files/

The only thing I have changed since then was core update 6.8 to 6.9.

I have tried current 6 release and also head, no luck. also for some reason thumbnails are not being generated.

to save to target folder. This might not be module related. For me the issue was with my hosting provider I had to delete the video folder that I created and let the module have it created. I also have noticed that
in the FFMPEG settings > Original Directory > I had to set this to the same folder as the video import directory. Now I just need to figure out why videos will load but will not play.
