Hi I have found Drupal extremely strong . And would request any one of you to develop a full fledged document management system like owl contineo etc , I am not a PHP guy , neither I am that strong in drupal but many of us need it and so is the request , I am ready to fund it to some extend if it fits my pocket . As I am new just in case this is not the place for this post then fwd it to the correct place , So that things move on .

this sounds rather ambitious, actually. lots of factors to build a module of this type that can be flexible enough for any dms-type requirement. if someone(s) were to pick this up as a separate project that can be integrated into multiple cms platforms, similar to civicrm, it may be worthwhile.

a small-scale version might be the search attachments module. this could be a part of some interim solution. maybe. seems to be a work in progress, but i have used it, and it does work within its described scope.

try searching on "alfresco" or "document management system." seem to remember some discussion on this, as well as mention of some trying to integrate the alfresco dms and drupal.

I agree that it would be greate if there was some dms functionality in Drupal.
