The title of this post pretty much says it all. I'm new to the LAMP community; just got things up and running a couple of days ago. I got a we bit too ahead of myself after installing Drupal 6.x, and disabled the username/login feature thinking that since my first project with Drupal was going to be a blog for myself, that I really didn't need that on the homepage for other users. I had thought that I could just login through some backway when administering the site.
This issue actually came about after I went into the administrative screen to design the menu for my site. When clicking on 'menu', it took me to a blank screen. After researching it a little bit, I tried the option of clearing my 'cookies', and along with them, cleared out the cache, and whatnot.
So, I go to refresh the 'menu' screen and it tells me that I no longer have permission; access is denied. All well and good, but then I realized that I no longer had the username and password prompt to log back in.
After researching some more on this current issue, I attempted to get to the login prompt by both inputting "http://localhost/index.php?q=user" and "http://localhost/index.php?q=admin" and yet, both of those avenues took me right back to the home page of my blog, sans the username and password prompt.
So, is there really anything I can do now, before maybe having to reinstall the drupal components? What are my options.
Thanks for the help, everyone...

Karthik....I can't be too specific right now, as I'm actually at work right now, and don't know my way around the administrative UI well enough just yet to point you right there. I think it may have been in site administration, or content management.

Thanks Mike!
