The release notes say that 1.0 was released because 0.9 is missing files.

A release that is an "oops" fix over a prior release generally should not cause the major version number to increase. Did you mean to make this version 0.10 instead of 1.0?

Good question. I did up it to 1.x intentionally, though whether this is appropriate is potentially doubtful. I originally used the 0.x approach when I guess I should really have been issuing betas. (I wasn't used to the new release system--I'm still not using it fully.) I meant at the time to up it to 1.x when it was basically feature complete for the 5.x version.
