There hasn't been a release for almost a year. Is this still in development?

rwohlebIt's currently on the back-burner. I do plan to revisit this module in the coming months.

rszrama commentedI'm also looking to develop a gradebook application that my wife can use. There's no way for me to catch up on the design philosophy here... also, I'm planning on using D6. I'm curious if I should just continue rolling my own solution.

rwohlebI have a friend who's been hounding me on exactly the same thing. She really wants to use Gradebook this fall. I've finished up at the university recently, so I finally have time again. I plan on porting Gradebook to D6 this summer, as well as fixing a lot of the issues in previous versions. I'm going to post in http://groups.drupal.org/drupal-education when I get a general development plan laid out.

Afief commentedI am very much interested in the state of the gradebook.module as well. I would like to use it for the local schools around here but some features are simply missing. Is there a place we can go to propose ideas and perhaps contribute to the D6 version?
PS: is it going to be a straight port or a re-write of the module the way Views had?

ptone commentedI too would love to see this project brought back to life. The options out there are pretty meek.
There is Centre that is a whole SIS in PHP
There in Engrade, a free, but no longer totally open platform
Some java stuff in sakaiproject.org (again, sort of an all or nothing SIS).
There is the proprietary stuff from Edline (who have Easy Grade Pro web, and Grade Quick), but they are commercial SOA, and use custom binary web plugins (blech!).
Doesn't look like this will be ready for this fall, but I may be able to contribute some dev time this school year, as we are moving more and more of our community to a drupal based system.

batje commentedI am going to implement Drupal6 + the new library module + some student management (using OG). The school involved already mentioned, their next wish will be grades (as an upgrade from excell)
A drupal 6 port would be wonderfull, and i might be able to help a bit.

MGN commentedI would also be happy to help with a port to 6.x. Is there a development plan for this yet?

MGN commentedA Drupal 6 port has now been released. Testers are needed! Marking this issue as closed.
