Lets keep this simple and to the point.

Who do you host with?
How long?
How many sites?
How many Drupal sites?
Will you stay with them?
Best thing about them? (keep it simple)
Worst thing about them? (keep it simple)

I signed up with MediaTemple after reading some of the reviews here and elsewhere. I am on their grid service, and building/testing my site at the moment. I bought a whole year at once, and found a coupon online, so it set me back $170 for the year.

1 site
1 month

I want to say I like them, but I am not sure that they will pass mustard once I turn my site on. There have been a few outages every week for the last few weeks. Either the whole site goes down, or mySQL stops working, or something hangs. I will say that they are reachable at all hours of the day, and are quick to resolve issues. They always tell me what is going on (although the portion of their site which is meant to report outages does not), and the estimated fix time is never more than 10 minutes. My only real fear is that there are too many issues too often. Time will tell.

As far as speed is concerned, it is hard for me to tell since I am still developing and have thus left caching off. I will stick with them and find out.

My general impression with hosts is that you get what you pay for. Those host's that promise the world for $5 a month are probably best avoided. At the same time, spending hundreds a month could be overkill. I tend to lean toward the upper limit of my budget.

If you have any questions, I'll do my best.

This has to be qualified by whether you are looking for shared hosting, VPS or dedicated.

They are entirely different.
