Header region please

Description
I find this theme very elegant and professional looking. However it would be nice if we can have a header region to actually exist for the theme.
The header region is included in the drop-down box selection when positioning blocks but if you assign a block to the header, it just doesn't show up because apparently it doesn't exist for the theme. You have 'content', 'right' and 'left' sidebars and 'footer' regions but 'header' is absent.
I think inclusion of the header region can provide impact for this theme in conjunction with some modules i.e. header image, admin_menu, or panels (positioned in a block).
