Hi,
I would like to change the notify module so it adds start/end dates/times when the added content is a calendar entry.
Any help greatly appreciated!!

mdowsett commentedyou mean so the notification shows the start and end time of an new event posted?
I'd like that too....subscribing...

mdowsett commentedwould these help?

I have no idea....its a question (not a solution). Please advise if you are able to try them.

willemt commentedThanks for posting... I however am not sure what that module does.
I basically am desperately looking to get the following done with calendar:
* Addition of start and end dates/times in notifications when people post a calendar event.
* Notification of not only addition of an event, but also change and removal.
* Disabling possibility to have calendar entries overlap.
I really like Drupal but do not know it well enough to code those things myself... Hoping someone out there who can help.

mdowsett commentedI have no idea....I just seen your posting and then was reading thru the list of modules (looking for something else) and seen that one. Just try it out....I doubt it can harm your site. Uninstall it if it doesn't work.
I'm no coder either.....I've learned a lot about how to use Drupal by trial-and-error. And for the most part, if a module doesn't work, disable it, uninstall it and then delete it from your server and you are back to where you started before you tried it.

willemt commentedJust to inform I have solved most of my requirements using the subscriptions module instead of notification.
Also hacked that module so it allows html emails to be sent out. Works great and now my emails sent out upon calendar entry creation includes dates and times. :-)

matt2000 commentedThis might be resolved in Notify in the future, but is not a current priority. Subscriptions is a good choice for uses like this.
