I've installed a site, enabled the PHP filter to allow people to add php code and then changed my mind en deinstalled the "php filter" module. However, on my page edit page it still has the option. How do I get rid of this?

Help as always much appreciated,
Klaas

It's probably because your pages are still cached, go to; admin/settings/performance and right at the bottom, clear the cache.

The PHP module provides a filter to evaluate PHP code, and also when you first install it, it creates a "PHP code" input format that uses the PHP filter (and no others).

When you disable the module the filter is de-activated but the input format remains (essentially it is an input format that will do nothing!). This means that you can re-enable the input format at a later date if you want to.

However I agree that this behaviour is also a bit confusing. A bug perhaps?????

To get rid of the PHP input format from your edit pages, either
- go to admin/settings/filters and Delete the PHP code input format, or
- make sure that no roles are allowed to use the PHP code input format (see the Roles column at admin/settings/filters). Note that user 1 will always be able to use it since it always has all permissions. (Most people suggest *not* using user 1 for general site admin).

Note that if you delete the PHP code input format itself then if you re-enable the PHP module later you will have to recreate the input format by hand.

Um...
PHP Filter is not a module, it's an admin option built into core.
How do you think you de-installed it?? You probably (hopefuly) disabled it for other users.

Unfortunately, the super-admin #1 gets all options all the time. If you still see it, it's proabably due to your own super-powers. super-admin sees too much, sometimes I wish it didn't. Log in as an average user to see what average users see.

@ dman - it is a module in Drupal 6.x and it's disabled by default.

Woah, really, sorry, I was referring to 5.x behavior then.
News to me.
Fair enough, it should be an add-on!

I meant disabled..... thanks all for the help - indeed watching through (l)user eyes helps a lot...
In addition I've added TinyMCE module for those level users which hides all input types all together now.
