Description

When I first go to my forums and check the input format my 'Authenticated FCKeditor' filter is chosen by default. That's great, that's exactly what I want.

BUT if I refresh the page and check input format the 'Filtered HTML' filter is selected. If I refresh again it goes back to 'Authenticated FCKeditor'. And so on with each refresh it flips what filter is selected. The bug may be worse than this because only the two filters listed above are available on my forums.

I'm using drupal 5.7 and this behavior was observed with Firefox/2.0.0.13 and Firefox/3.0b3pre. I haven't checked on any other browsers yet.

Hmmm. I just deactivated the module and get the same behavior. Maybe the module wasn't working? This module will work for writing comments on forums by regular users right?

Is that's what's been going on? I've noticed some inconsistencies in my input format, strangely reverting/switching to an unwanted format for reasons I couldn't replicate.
Slightly embarrassing during a tutorial recently.
I thought it was a stray tab-press or three affecting the hidden selector.

I am not sure if my issue was related, but for any role in which you define a default, all roles assume the default with the "lightest" weight. See http://drupal.org/node/24578
