Hey All... Have searched but can't find anything related to 'Save Configuration' failures, so has anyone ever run into this?
- I've installed a new module & go to admin/build/modules to enable
- With the Enable checkbox checked, I hit Save Configuration
- The system returns me to admin/build/modules with no messages (success or failure)
- When I check the module's listing, my changes haven't been registered by the system
First noticed this when installing the WebForm module, but have tested the error by changing the Enabled field for various modules; none of the changes have been regsitered, and no error / success messages either...
Stumped!!! Any input gratefully received...

same problem
Hi,
I noticed it when installing imagecache module. Seems to be a common problem without know solution yet. Anybody help?
Cause found
For my installation, the problem is related with a high number of modules installed.
That makes the query thown to the server on configuration update to be too long to be processed, so it is ignored.
No fail or exit response. Just ignored.
As a workaround, I have to install new modules by hand. It will be a good solution to have an "install just one module" page.
Same problem with roles permision page (but here there is a page for each role, that i can still use)

Two Problems Like These
I have the same one with the permissions page, after I choose the permissions when I save the page and after that nothing is saved.
And the other one is at the main menu page, I try to rearrange the menu items or try to disable some but when I save the page with the new settings again, nothing. Could this be the same thing? Too much modules? Too much queries?
I love Drupal, but I hate when something like this comes on...I have to go back to an other system now...
Theres no fix for this at all??? Please help!
I have this in a specific theme
I have a theme (a frontend a client wants that i quickly bastardised) that shows all the form pages, but "save configuration" never works... I've put the admin theme back to default (only having this client theme on the frontend) but then I can't modify bocks as even though blocks are in admin -duh- they operate on a per theme basis and load in the actual theme. Wierd. I don't see why I need this theme loading up to change a few drop-down boxes. Guess I'll have to fix the theme or else.
But would be nice to have this admin quirk (as far as I'm concerned) fixed.
