How does Bio handle user pictures and sizing for pictures in post-

I looked on lullabot. The user pic in the bio node is a larger size than the one thats in the post. What is the configuration for that? Do you have the bio "take over" the profile? Is it resized programitically or is this a feature that is in the Bio module?

Any info or pointing in the right direction would be great...

Thanks

Jamie

Use imagefield and imagecache.

Add an image field in the bio content type.
Configure imagecache.
Then edit the display values in the bio content type.

You should be able to Google "imagefield and imagecache" (or variations of this) and find good documentation.

thanks i am familiar and have used both of those modules....so i understand what you mean.

As bio relates to the default/core user profile is where i am confused. I know it is all preference, but in this case for example.

1. i configured bio to be edited on user profile or take over the user profile you still have the core user picture (the one that will be used on posts) in the bio. I guess you need not to link it with the User profile, but I would like it there (on first thought) so that people will see the contact tab right where ther personal info (bio is).

2. #1 leads into the second question- pics in posts--- do you have the user fill out a Bio pic and a user profile pic (for the pics in posts)?

2. The other thing is the name of the content type "biography" is there which is weird. How do you get that out of their or change it. It is not the $title variable i am assuming because the user sets their own title.

thanks

Hello there,
I have the same problem related to the user's picture. And very strange:
- on one of my websites, the user's picture became a bio / cck field that I could choose to dipslay or not ( on the bio page itself and on registration as a field)
- on my other website, the user's picture is there whatever I do.

Both sites are configured excatly the same way. So I am a little confused.

The second site offers a better logic: it really takes over the whole profile.
Whereas the first site looks like bio module is omiting to take over the user's picture !!

I have searched and searched to see what I could have done different in two sites in vain.

Any help will be appreciated.

PS: henns20 , I hope my question is close enough to yours...

Sorry, this is by no means an issue with Bio module. You might search the forums, or ask in IRC #drupal-support
