Hi all,
I basically want to jump in and try out Drupal and see what I can do with it. I tried a couple of drupal hosting companies and they seem to bill every 6mo or 12mo and really I am just interested in trying it out for a month or two at a hosting company that handles all the modules but speed isnt really a factor as it will not be a live site. I already pay for a full microsoft hosting plan from 1&1, so I am not looking to invest in another long term hosting plan unless things go well with Drupal.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Troy.

probably too short
Most of the hosting companies I work with won't do anything for less than three months. lunarpages.com, a2hosting.com, and many others offer three-month shared packages for less than ten bucks a month.
Rochen
Check out Rochen. I am moving all my hosting services over to them. Customer service is absolutely top notch, great tools at your disposal and they offer Drupal auto-install through Fantastico. They are also the official hosting company for Joomla.com (o!).
HostGator and AptHost
HostGator and AptHost both offer monthly billing. Discounts can be found here: http://www.hostingdiary.com/2007/09/web-hosting-cou.html

Monthly hosting...
I have a few users who use our service on a monthly basis... If you need a cheap but reliable hosting service, we offer special prices for drupal users. BUT, support is given by email only...
For drupal users, you pay $10 for setting your account, wich include a default drupal installation, then $1 for each 100Megs of space you need. Paid monthly with paypal.
Hope this can help you,
Danny
