For those subscribed: the porting is happening right now.
The company CMS Website Services, LLC has taken over the task of porting the module. The port is happening this week, and will be released shortly afterwards.

Is anybody subscribed here able to download the developers' snapshot of User Karma F6 and give it a test?
I am completely swamped with FriendList right now.
Help here would be immensely appreciated!

I got a copy and installed it in D6.5, but should I see comment rating widgets so that people can get karma that way? How is that supposed to work?

User Karma has nothing to do with Voting Widgets. Please refer to the module's documentation to see what it does and how.
